Development Background: From Personal Struggle to Collective Resonance

At two in the morning in the design studio, founder Ming Xin's fingers danced across the keyboard as he revised the project proposal to its third draft. Yet the cigarette pack by his desk and the cold coffee on the table made him frown. The brief clarity brought by nicotine gave way to a growing dizziness, while the half-drunk cup of Americano had already stirred that familiar burning sensation in his stomach. “Isn't there a way to stay alert without compromising on the moment?” This thought became the spark that ignited the creation of the Laike Coffee Vaporizer.

Ming Xin's dilemma reflects a shared anxiety among millions. In fast-paced cities, “efficient energy boosts” are essential, yet solutions perpetually oscillate between ‘harmful’ and “inconvenient.” Nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are highly addictive and damage respiratory systems with prolonged use, prompting stringent global regulations. Traditional coffee and energy drinks are not only cumbersome to carry but also irritate the stomach with their acidic compounds. The awkwardness of brewing coffee in meeting rooms and the mess of spills during commutes are unavoidable pain points.

To find answers, Ming Xin led his team through three months of market research. They visited office buildings, documenting white-collar workers torn between “craving a smoke” and “stomach discomfort”; visited universities to hear students' frustrations about library coffee bans; and spoke with entrepreneurs about their late-night dilemma of “wanting energy without harming their health.” When survey data revealed that 68% of respondents were willing to pay for a “nicotine-free + portable energy” product, Laike's R&D direction became clear: replace harmful ingredients with natural coffee extracts to create a truly “safe” energy solution.
